Flowing west out of Sequoia National Park, the Kaweah River offers one of California's steepest and most challenging whitewater rafting runs.  Plummeting steeply from its 12,000' headwaters, it drops over 70' per mile through its expert section.  With numerous Class IV and V rapids the Kaweah offers a stiff challenge for rafters and kayakers alike.  Even experienced boaters may want to consider the services of a professional outfitter for their initial descent!


The Kaweah runs right through the quaint town of Three Rivers, just east of Visalia.  It's 3-1/2 hour drive from the Los Angeles basin makes it convenient to both Southern and Northern California river enthusiasts.
